Mathematician, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Research Scientist/Engineer

Hi, I am a Mathematician turned Data Scientist/ML Research Engineer with decades long experience in quantitative sciences and their applications in Academia and Industry likewise. After nearly a decade as an academic Mathematician and then some years spent on cracking the financial markets at The Voleon Group, I am now putting my efforts contribution to make Autonomous Vehicles an everyday, reliable, safe reality at Cruise. I have a deep passion for anything Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering and related. On my spare time I try to keep up with recent developments in Generative AI and implement things I found fun (soon to be reflected by my GitHub as well).

I was born in Budapest, Hungary where I spent the first 25 years of my life and enjoyed every minute of it. I obtained my undergraduate degree (combined B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics) at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics under the supervision of Dr. Domokos Szász. I received my PhD in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park as a graduate student of Dr. Leonid Koralov. Finally, my last stop in academia was being a Courant Instructor/Assistant Professor at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University under the mentorship of Yuri Bakhtin. During my academic carreer, I have been working on problems involving stochastic differential equations (SDEs) that arise by unleashing some small noise on a deterministic dynamical system. The full list of my publications can be found on Arxiv or Google Scholar

I identify as a Person Who Stutters (PWS) and my goal is to raise awareness to fluency disorders. To learn more about stuttering see here and for a solution I strongly recommend Avoidance Reduction Therapy.
