Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science

I am a mathematician born data scientist/Machine Learning researcher currently working on building automated trading systems at The Voleon Group where I apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to develop predictive models for real-world problems in finance. Part of my job is developing and maintaining all components of the relevant pipeline ranging from data preparation through model development to production software implementation.

Previously, I was a Courant Instructor/Assistant Professor at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University under the mentorship of Yuri Bakhtin. I was born in Budapest, Hungary where I spent the first 25 years of my life. I obtained my undergraduate degree (combined B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics) at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics under the supervision of Dr. Domokos Szász. I received my PhD in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park as a graduate student of Dr. Leonid Koralov. During my academic carreer, I have been working on problems involving stochastic processes that arise as small random perturbations of deterministic dynamical systems. In particular, I studied the transport of passive tracer molecules in certain two dimensional fluid flows for small values of the molecular diffusivity

I identify as a Person Who Stutters (PWS) and my goal is to raise awareness to fluency disorders. To learn more about stuttering see here and for a solution I strongly recommend this.
